60th Anniversary Celebrity Messages 

Ontario March of Dimes was founded in 1951 and celebrated its 60th Anniversary in 2011. Over the years, Ontario March of Dimes expanded its programs to serve people of all disabilities, established 4 subsidiaries to meet the needs of the community, and continues to expand its services across the country under March of Dimes Canada. Link to greeting	William Shatner Spokesperson for March of Dimes Canada Since 2006, Canadian icon William Shatner has been the official spokesperson for March of Dimes Canada.  His video message reflects on what 60 years of service means to him, and to Canadians with disabilities.
Link to greeting	Bret "The Hitman" Hart Spokesperson for Stroke Recovery Canada®, a program of March of Dimes Since 2007, Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart has been the spokesperson of the Stroke Recovery Canada® program.  A stroke survivor himself, Bret has been helping March of Dimes in its mission of helping people survive and thrive after a stroke.
Link to greeting	The Right Honourable Paul Martin The Right Honourable Paul Martin is a long-time supporter of March of Dimes. He is a polio survivor. The Paul Martin Sr. Society which honours donors was named in his father’s honour. Paul Martin Sr. was the Minister of Health and Welfare who pushed through the polio vaccination program against great odds.

Link to greeting	Liona Boyd Guest performer and speaker, March of Dimes annual fundraiser Liona Boyd is known as the "First Lady of the Classical Guitar". She was diagnosed with task specific focal dystonia, also known as ‘musician’s dystonia’ from overplaying, which led to a disability in her playing hand.  She thought her career had come to a premature end.  She has since refocused her career and is now singing and playing guitar, albeit with a different technique.  She was the special guest speaker at the 2010 Ability & Beyond Dinner.

Only 24 years old, he has already established himself as a champion wrestler recently taking on the MMA in the United States.  He was the special guest speaker at March of Dimes’ Ability & Beyond Gala in 2006.

He has released three successful albums with a fourth due to drop in the summer of 2011.  He has been supporting March of Dimes since 2008.
