ACDP Walk'n'Roll 2015

Aphasia Awareness Walk 'n' Roll!

In Communities across Ontario
June 6 - 10, 2016

People with aphasia and communication disabilities resulting from stroke, brain injury or brain illness are stepping out for themselves and their communities. Be a part of it!

The annual Aphasia and Communication Disabilities Program (ACDP) Walk ‘n’ Roll fundraiser held across Ontario by March of Dimes Canada, encourages people with aphasia to get active and out in their communities, support vital programs that assist themselves and many others, and improve their own health and fitness as a bonus.

The 2016 Aphasia and Communication Disabilities Program annual Walk'n'Roll, will be held from June 6 to 10, 2016. Volunteers and participants from ACDP will walk or roll around the surrounding communities and put up displays about aphasia in local venues to raise awareness about ACDP aphasia programs and services. Funds raised through pledges from friends, family, neighbours, and coworkers will support March of Dimes Canada's ACDP programs that help them improve communication, support independence, and encourage participation in community life.

This year's ACDP Walk'n'Roll will be held in Maple, Newmarket, Peterborough, Stouffville, Vaughan and Whitby. Be sure to come out and support participants in your community!

Aphasia and Communication Disabilities Program (ACDP) offers services and mutual aid groups for people living with aphasia and other communication disabilities caused by stroke, brain injury, or brain illness. ACDP is designed to help clients participate more fully in community life, improve communication, promote aphasia awareness, advocate for communication access, education and research, and give a voice to clients in the global aphasia community.
