Get Ready for the 9th Annual Walk 'n' Roll!
In Communities across Ontario and British Columbia
June 1 - 9, 2017
People with physical disabilities and communication disabilities are stepping up and stepping out for themselves and their communities. We hope that you can be a part of it!
The annual Walk ‘n’ Roll fundraiser held across Ontario and now in British Columbia by March of Dimes Canada, encourages people with physical disabilities or communication disabilities to get active and out in their communities, support vital programs that assist themselves and many others, and improve their own health and fitness as a bonus.
From June 1 to 9, 2017, volunteers and participants from March of Dimes Canada stroke, post-polio, aphasia and communication disabilities programs, acquired brain injury support groups, and residents of our supportive living homes, will walk or roll through a designated course in a local shopping mall, or their surrounding community and put up displays about peer support groups in local venues to raise awareness about our programs and services. Funds raised through pledges from friends, family, neighbours, and coworkers will support their March of Dimes Canada programs that help them live independently in their homes and local communities.
Since it's inception, Walk'n'Roll has raised over $364,500 towards community programs. This year's goal is to raise another $70,000. With your help we can do it! Please come out and support participants in your community or make a donation online!
