Bret "Hitman" Hart Joined Marlies Hockey Game in Support of March of Dimes Canada
On Saturday, January 22, 2011 the Toronto Marlies Hockey Club welcomed legendary Canadian wrestler Bret "Hitman" Hart to Ricoh Coliseum to speak on behalf of Stroke Recovery Canada, a program of March of Dimes Canada.
For over 20 years Bret entertained fans around the world winning numerous wrestling championships and has become one of Canada's most recognizable icons.
In 2002, Bret overcame a devastating stroke, a defeat he calls his greatest victory. Bret's stroke caused partial paralysis requiring months of physical therapy, but through his determination, he made a successful recovery.
Since 2007, Bret has been helping March of Dimes in its mission to educate Canadian stroke survivors on how to “Survive and Thrive” after a stroke.
Bret participated in a ceremonial puck drop, signed autographs and took pictures with fans. In addition, while he was in Toronto, he recorded two media interviews, which can be found here:
The Toronto Marlies have provided all supporters of Bret "Hitman" Hart and the March of Dimes with special tickets discounted to $20 for side seats, with $5 going to March of Dimes and accessible seats for $17 with $2 going to March of Dimes.

Special thanks to Bret Hart, the Toronto Marlies and the Toronto Westin Harbour Castle for their generosity.
