Your Home – Your Independence.
From February 18th - 27th March of Dimes Canada will be hosting booth # 3640 at the National Home Show.
Your home should be your sanctuary. But for many people as they age, or acquire a disability, a house can become an obstacle course that needs to navigated every day, threatening safety and independence. The good news is that with the help of barrier-free design, a home can be modified to once again be a safe haven. Experts from March of Dimes Canada, AMG Medical Supplies and HME Mobility will be on-hand to demonstrate and discuss that age or disability does not have to mean a life filled with barriers, restrictions and isolation. With help, there is a way to maintain independence in your home.
In addition, our experts will be hosting a Main Stage presentation on accommodating the needs of people with disabilities during the development or redesign of their house.
Home accessibility does not have to mean expensive renovations. Our experts will show that barrier-free design offers simple solutions that allow anybody to live comfortably in their home. March of Dimes will demonstrate that you can remain safe and independent in a home that is both accessible and beautiful.
The main stage presentation will take place on Tuesday, February 22nd at 4:30pm.
Thank you to the National Home Show, Direct Energy Centre and GES Show Services for their donation of the booth, electricity and booth materials.
