March of Dimes Ambassador Sheila Shah presents a generous donation

Sheila Shah, an up and coming actress based out of Los Angeles, recently presented a significant
Photo of Sheila Shahdonation in support of March of Dimes. She became a March of Dimes Ambassador in 2011.

Sheila grew up in Montreal, and relocated to Toronto when she was 13 years old.  She is trilingual, speaking French, Farsi and English fluently. Her passion for the arts and modeling began early, and in 2001, she won the title of Miss Iran Canada.  Sheila has also achieved her educational goals with degrees in Chemistry, Regulatory Affairs, and Merchandise Marketing.

Sheila has appeared in a number of television and film productions, including CBS's “How to Be a Gentleman”, and the horror film “Saw V” as well as print commercials.

Sheila has twin brothers, one of whom has cerebral palsy. Her family has been helped by March of Dimes, including receiving support from both the Home and Vehicle Modification Program and Assistive Devices Program.

"I know what it is like to grow up with a family member who has a disability, how expensive equipment can be, and how you want to do everything you can to ensure your family member has the best possible care," says Sheila.  "I want to support March of Dimes and help other families like mine. MOD has always helped support my family with their many wonderful programs.  I want to see that work continue and expand to touch more families,” she continues.

In addition to her charity work Sheila is currently acting, writing and producing. She recently filmed a TV movie that will air soon on Fox called “Heart of the Country” starring Gerald McRaney. She can also be seen on Netflix in the movie “Mafia” playing opposite Ving Rhames. Sheila is currently writing a TV pilot with Rick Rosenthal to direct and is developing feature films she aims to produce.
