Second Annual Rock for Dimes Sault Ste. Marie
Local amateur musicians to raise money for a great cause.

For the second time, SSM’s top amateur bands will take to the stage at the Rock for Dimes fundraiser.

On Friday, November 14, 2014, seven bands will shake Delta Sault Ste. Marie to raise funds for both March of Dimes Canada and United Way Sault Ste. Marie and district.

The event will provide a musical showcase for Redundant, Thrill Junkies, The Elements, Haggith, Mannapool, Mourning Wood and the winner of a youth event taking place earlier in the day will provide the evening’s entertainment. Local radio personality and City Councillor Lou Turco will be the event host.

“We’re really excited to be holding this fundraiser again in Sault Ste. Marie and looking forward to an evening of great music,” says Mary Lynne Stewart, Director of Fund Development and Communications for March of Dimes Canada. “Partnering with United Way on this event provides a wonderful opportunity to help so many people in need in the community,” she continues.

“We are thrilled to be a partner in bringing Rock for Dimes concert to our community. It’s wonderful when local business people come together to share their musical talents to benefit the many people our programs support,” says Kaitlyn Irwin, Campaign Manager for United Way Sault Ste. Marie and district.

The national sponsors include Airgo Medical, Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund, League of Rock, Sun Media and Agency59, and local sponsors Delta Sault Ste. Marie, Case's Music, Soo Thunderbirds Hockey Club and United Way Sault Ste. Marie and District.
