"Gisele made at least six months of recovery (post surgery) in the four weeks of Conductive Education Summer Camp," says her mother Rita. "Gisele had a great time in the camp and got back her independence – which is so important to her."
March of Dimes’ Conductive Education® summer camp provides daily classes for children with physical disabilities, helping each child improve their ability, independence and self-confidence. Camp programs run in July and August.
By maintaining an atmosphere of fun, children are motivated to learn new skills and work towards their goals alongside their peers. Children improve their gross and fine motor skills and become more independent while playing games and participating in camp activities.
