March of Dimes provides around the clock rehabilitation services to adults and children who have either survived an acquired brain injury or have another disability on funded basis.
These services are offered across Ontario only and may be provided in conjunction with other March of Dimes services.
In the event that the funding for an individual’s care would end, March of Dimes has the potential ability to support a smooth transition into programs funded by the Local Health Integrated Network (LHIN).
Along with advanced in-house training, our rehabilitation workers possess:
- Post secondary education in social services
- First Aid/CPR
- Clear criminal reference checks
- Non-violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention
- Ontario Brain Injury Association; Brain Basics Certification and/or Brock University Certificate –Neuro rehabilitation – Assisting Recovery and Functioning in Everyday Life Following Brain Injury (Level 1).
Rehabilitation workers follow all policies and procedures established by the Ontario March of Dimes and the quality management system that is used by the organization (ISO 9001:2008).
All staff has appropriate insurance coverage through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).
