Every year medical specialists have volunteered their time traveling to the Northern Medical Clinics in communities such as Cochrane, Hearst and Kirkland Lake. This saves people in northern communities the time, trouble and expenses of travelling to see specialists and receive treatments.
Supported by our staff, volunteers, host hospitals and various local organizations, the clinics have also received funding from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care through its Northern Health Programs and Planning Branch, as well as the Porcupine United Way.
