About Us
     

Ontario March of Dimes was founded in 1951 to raise funds to eradicate the threat of polio in Canada. 

The Marching Mothers founded our door-to-door fundraising campaign, and with the help of this funding, the Salk vaccine was discovered within three years.

Ontario March of Dimes is the largest community-based rehabilitation and advocacy organization for people with physical disabilities in the province.
   
Our goal is to enhance the independence and community participation of people with physical disabilities every day through a wide range of programs and services across the province.

William Shatner

Since 2006, William Shatner, Canadian icon, actor, writer, producer, director and musical performer has been the Spokesperson of March of Dimes Canada, helping to promote our many national programs.
