Girls Night Out featuring Menopause Out Loud a fun filled evening

May 10, 2007 - March of Dimes Canada™ with the support of Nørdic Selfcare Institute and IMEDEEN prime renewal has had another successful Girls Night Out event.  In recognition of the volunteers and supporters of March of Dimes, Nørdic Selfcare Institute and IMEDEEN prime renewal graciously purchased and gave away over 400 tickets.

“Nørdic Selfcare Institute partnered with Stroke Recovery Canada and March of Dimes because heart and stroke become a major risk for women post menopause,” says Pat Browne, Director of Marketing at IMEDEEN.  “Nørdic Selfcare Institute has a 28 year history of bringing difficult issues to the forefront, and the increased risk of stroke that women face after menopause made this a natural partnership to raise awareness about this issue and March of Dimes.”

“Menopause Out Loud - an event in celebration of women” was a fun filled 90-minute musical production created to empower women of all ages. The hilarious musical celebration of women and “the change” left its audience singing, laughing and dancing in the aisles.

“We enjoyed our evening with March of Dimes and Stroke Recovery Canada. It was great to see so many people having a good time.  We hope this event helps to raise awareness for the needed work done by March of Dimes’ Stroke Recovery Canada program,” says Browne.

Menopause Out Loud has run to sold-out houses all over North America, Australia, Italy and South Korea since its launch in 2001. The Toronto production started its run on June 21, 2006 at the Capital Event Theatre on Yonge Street. Since then over 50,000 people have enjoyed an evening of hilarity and song, prior to its move to the Panasonic Theatre at 651 Yonge Street.

“We really appreciate the support of Nørdic Selfcare Institute and IMEDEEN prime renewal,” says Tracie Napoli, Manager of Special Events and Volunteer Development at March of Dimes, “we really value our partnership and look forward to many more successful events in the future.”

Thanks Nørdic Selfcare Institute and IMEDEEN prime renewal, we could not have had this much fun without you!
