“Fourth Annual Rock for Dimes”
London’s Big Battle of the Corporate Bands
Members of London’s corporate community play “Rock Star” to raise money for a great cause.
On March 4th, London’s top business executives will be trading in their suits and ties for ripped jeans and guitars at the fourth annual Rock for Dimes event. Rock for Dimes, a corporate Battle of the Bands, raises funds for March of Dimes Canada. Five bands comprised of London business professionals will shake The Dawghouse to raise an estimated $10,000 for children with physical disabilities.
Blue Raven, The Remotes, Treble Makers, The Golden Rule and Duty Calls will compete for bragging rights as London’s best corporate band, at the same time showcasing their talents to guest judges. Fabrizio Dona, Chief Murray Faulkner, Chief of the London Police, and Scene publisher Bret Downe have been tapped as judges, while /A\ London’s Dan MacLellan will be pulling double duty as both judge and the evening’s host.
All proceeds benefit March of Dimes Canada’s programs for children and adults with disabilities.
“We couldn’t be more excited about once again staging Rock for Dimes in London,” says Mary Lynne Stewart, Director of Fund Development and Communications for March of Dimes Canada. “The London community is so supportive, and I am confident that this event will allow us to offer our programs to even more people.”
Rock for Dimes London is sponsored by the London Police, Bluestone Properties, AMG Medical, The Dawghouse, and the /A\ London.
Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday March 4th at The Dawghouse located at 699 Wilkins Street. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at www.rockfordimes.ca or are available at the door.
