On June 20th March of Dimes held its first-ever Fabulous Fifty Ride for Dimes.
Bicycling enthusiasts were treated to the beautiful scenery of Gananoque while supporting children and adults with disabilities. For a minimum pledge of $150 riders challenged themselves to a 50km bike ride while supporting March of Dimes Canada’s programs and services for people with disabilities. The bike ride was a single-day event starting in Gananoque and following the Thousand Island Parkway. The top ten fundraisers each received a custom Louis Garneau cycling jersey.
“We were thrilled with the results of the Fabulous Fifty Ride for Dimes,” says Edwin Greenfield, Regional Independent Living Manager for March of Dimes Canada. “Ride for Dimes challenged cyclists to test their abilities and helped local children and adults with disabilities. I am confident that with such a supportive community that this will become a successful annual event.”
