Ontario March of Dimes would like to express our full support for the Neshama playground initiative.
Neshama’s plans to establish an innovative and inclusive playground at Oriole Park should be applauded for their contribution to disability rights and needs in Toronto. The playground’s ability to meet the recreational needs of all children, including those with physical disabilities, is a vital step for children and preschoolers with disabilities towards independence, empowerment and community participation.
The playground will foster equality of opportunity and improve the quality of life among an under-supported segment of our Toronto. Thanks to Neshama, children and preschoolers with disabilities will be able to experience the benefits of play and share the fun of Toronto’s playgrounds.
In summation, Ontario March of Dimes endorses the Neshama playground initiative and encourages others to contribute whatever possible to support Neshama’s vision.
