  • A Legal Resource Centre for Persons with Disabilities (ARCH) - a specialty legal aid clinic dedicated to defending and advancing the equality-rights of persons with disabilities.

  • Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network - a national, community-based, charitable organization in Canada working exclusively in the area of policy and legal issues raised by HIV/AIDS.

  • Canadian Human Rights Act - an act to extend the laws in Canada that proscribe discrimination.

  • Canadian Human Rights Commission -  administers both the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Employment Equity Act, and ensures that the principles of equal opportunity and non-discrimination are followed in all areas of federal jurisdiction.

  • Employment Equity Act - details of the act intended to achieve equality in the workplace so that no person shall be denied employment opportunities or benefits for reasons unrelated to ability.

  • Ontario Human Rights Commission - administers Ontario’s Human Rights Code, which protects people in Ontario against discrimination in employment, accommodation, goods, services and facilities.
