Aphasia and Communication Disabilities Photography Gallery
  • Based on the principles of Miksang, a form of contemplative photography, people with aphasia learn to capture the beauty all around them. This event focuses on empowering clients who are living well with the effects of stroke through photography
  • Photography teacher Jeff Young will speak about working with the clients and some of the elements of photography that have been included in the group sessions
  • Snacks and refreshments will be served
  • Artists will be available for interviews

The Aphasia and Communication Disabilities Program is a partnership of adults living with aphasia and related acquired communication disabilities, community volunteers, speech-language professionals, and students. Our mission is to improve communication, enhance quality of life, support independence, provide communicative access, and encourage participation in community life.
