Come to the races to support March of Dimes!
On Saturday, August 13th, March of Dimes Canada will be holding a fundraising event at Kawartha Downs racetrack in support of its programs and services for children and adults with disabilities. This is the third year for the event.
Along with the races, guests will have the opportunity to bid on fabulous prizes in a silent auction. In attendance to host the event will be Graham Hart, CHEX TV and a longtime supporter of March of Dimes Canada.
In addition, representatives from local stroke and polio support groups will be on hand to answer questions about their programs. Peterborough is the fastest growing retirement community in the country, and it is believed there are survivors in the area who could benefit from March of Dimes’ programs and services.
2011 marks the 60th Anniversary of March of Dimes and the fundraiser will be recognizing and celebrating this milestone.
The Silent Auction starts at 6pm and the races at 7pm, the Auction will close at 9pm.
March of Dimes is the largest charitable rehabilitation organization in Ontario, providing a wide variety of programs and services to almost 40,000 people annually in communities across the province.
