New E-Learning Course for AODA Compliance

Experts in accessibility provide Ontarians with an
Accessible Customer Service E-Learning Course that meets the training requirement of the AODA

In partnership, the CNIB, March of Dimes Canada and The Canadian Hearing Society are offering an Accessible Customer Service E-Learning course that gives Ontarians the Information they need to comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Customer Service Standard.

Is your business ready to meet the future? All organizations in Ontario are mandated to train staff by January 1, 2012.

"Most organizations don’t realize that the training requirement extends to all staff who interact with people outside of their company. Simply put, if your organization has at least one employee with a phone on their desk, or who speaks with or emails people who don't work for your organization, you must comply,” says Frances Jewett of AccessAbility Advantage.

The course, produced by AccessAbility Advantage and Vubiz, provides organizations a way to train staff with ease and confidence – confidence because it is the only AODA E-learning course endorsed by experts: CNIB, March of Dimes Canada and The Canadian Hearing Society.

At 45 minutes in length, the engaging and thought-provoking course provides specific advice on interacting with persons with disabilities, including physical, hearing, speech, vision, intellectual, mental health and learning disabilities. It can be customized to include your brand guidelines, policies, procedures and specific content unique to each organization.

The course also offers full learning management services, including downloadable reports in Excel, an automated reporting system that advises which staff members have completed the course, and Certificates of Completion. The course is offered in English, French, American Sign Language (ASL) and la langue des signes québécoise (LSQ).  It also complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA.
