Join the third annual Rock for Dimes Calgary fundraiser!
Four bands will shake The Whiskey Nightclub on Thursday, March 24, 2011 to raise an estimated $10,000 for people living with disabilities.
Four bands, bORDERLINE, No Reply, The Bitchoo Men and Serotonin Crush will be participating in a musical showcase in support of March of Dimes’ programs and services. Q107 on-air personality Dale Einarson will be the evening’s emcee.
All proceeds benefit March of Dimes Canada’s programs and services for children and adults with disabilities. 2011 is the 60th Anniversary of March of Dimes in Canada.
“We couldn’t be more excited about staging Rock for Dimes in Calgary again,” says Mary Lynne Stewart, Director of Fund Development and Communications for March of Dimes Canada. “The Calgary community is so supportive, and I am confident that this event will allow us to offer our programming to even more people in the city.”
This is the third year that Rock for Dimes has been held in Calgary, and it is part of a series of fundraisers that are held across Canada, including stops in Vancouver, Halifax, Toronto, London and Montreal.
The event is sponsored by Canadian Natural, Borden Ladner Gervais, The Whiskey Nightclub, AMG Medical Supplies and radio station Q107 is the media sponsor.
