Rock for Dimes Vancouver



Sixth annual Rock for Dimes fundraiser to raise money for Vancouver families living with disabilities.

Five bands will shake Red Room Ultra Bar on Thursday, February 23rd to raise an estimated $20,000 for families living with disabilities.

BIG BACK YARD, No Reply, The Ringtones, Freshwater Sharks and Standard of Hair will compete for bragging rights, at the same time showcasing their talents to music industry professionals. 

On board as judges are former Payola$ lead singer Paul Hyde and music producers Mike Fraser and Jeff Dawson. Kieran Wilkie, from media sponsor 96.9 Jack FM will be pulling double duty as both judge and the evening’s host.

All proceeds benefit March of Dimes Canada’s programs for children and adults with disabilities.

“We couldn’t be more excited about once again staging Rock for Dimes in Vancouver,” says Mary Lynne Stewart, Director of Fund Development and Communications for March of Dimes Canada.  “The Vancouver community is so supportive, and I am confident that this event will allow us to expand our programming to even more people in BC.”

Dollar Tree Canada, Gowlings, CIS, Long & McQuade, Give/Get, AMG Medical Supplies are the corporate sponsors and 96.9 Jack FM is the media sponsor.

This is the sixth time that Rock for Dimes has been held in Vancouver, and it is part of a series of fundraisers that are held across Canada, including stops in Halifax, Calgary, London, Montreal and an upcoming appearance in Toronto.

Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23rd at the RedRoom Ultra Bar, located at 398 Richards Street.  The event is open to the public. Tickets are $25 per person. For more information or to order tickets please visit
