Pennzoil presents Rock for Dimes Bingemans Park
Local amateur musicians to raise money for a great cause
On Saturday, August 10, 2013, six bands will take to the stage at Bingemans Park to raise funds for people living with physical disabilities at the inaugural Pennzoil presents Rock for Dimes Bingemans Park fundraiser.
Dave Hawley, Jeff Poolton, Heartbreaker, Vinyl Sons, Corduroy Road, Demolition Rage, and Frontier Gibberish will perform a musical showcase at the event, guaranteed to entertain the entire family. The concert will start at noon.
All proceeds benefit March of Dimes Canada’s Campers Helping Campers program. Campers Helping Campers is an annual fundraising program that takes place from May to October and involves the generous support of staff, volunteers, campers and members of Camping In Ontario.
Funds raised through Campers Helping Campers support March of Dimes Canada’s Outdoor Recreation Program, helping people who live with a disability enjoy a summer camping experience. Proceeds from the event will help cover specialized travel to and from the camp, meals, attendant care, accommodations, supplies and day-trips.
“We’re really excited to be holding this fundraiser for the first time at Bingemans Park, says Mary Lynne Stewart, Director of Fund Development for March of Dimes Canada. “Pennzoil presents Rock for Dimes will help us offer even more recreational programming to people with disabilities and we couldn’t be more grateful,” she continues.
Pennzoil is the presenting sponsor. Additional sponsors include AMG Medical Supplies, Long & McQuade and Bingemans.
The event will run from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Bingemans Park, 425 Bingemans Centre Drive. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $10 per person. For more information or to order tickets online visit www.rockfordimes.ca/bingemans or call 1-800-263-3463 ext. 7380.
