Local amateur musicians to raise money for a great cause.
For the first time, Saskatoon’s best amateur bands will take to the stage at the Rock for Dimes battle of the bands fundraiser.
On Saturday, March 7, 2015, five bands will take to the stage at Piggy’s Pub & Grill to raise an estimated $5,000 for Saskatoon residents living with disabilities.
Phoenix and the Unlight, The Exiles, Tigerlilly, Big Turk and The Reckless Famous will be doing battle. All proceeds benefit March of Dimes Canada’s programs and services for children and adults with disabilities.
“We’re really excited to be holding this fundraiser for the first time in Saskatoon which also takes place in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Halifax, Winnipeg, Toronto, and a number of cities across Ontario,” says Mary Lynne Stewart, Director of Fund Development and Communications. Rock for Dimes will help us grow our programming and serve more people in Saskatoon,” she continues.

Doors will open at 7:00pm on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Piggy’s Pub and Grill, located at 403 Idylwyld Dr. N, Saskatoon, SK S7L 1A7. The event is open to the public.
