For the past twelve years, the Bentall Kennedy building at 6880 Financial Drive in Mississauga, ON has played host to a nine vendor and two book sales events throughout the year. These fun events provide local business vendors with a safe and secure site to sell their products, and give tenants of the building the opportunity to shop for unique products without needing to leave their workplace.
10% of the total sales are donated to a hand-picked local registered charity. March of Dimes Canada was chosen as the supported charity for two recent events and a total just shy of $6,000 was donated to support local programs and services.
“I remember seeing commercials for March of Dimes Canada when I was much younger but never really knew the scope of the programs and help it provided,” says Robert Fox, Security Services Manager with Bentall Kennedy, and who organizes the vendor sales. ‘I’m so glad that we can contribute to such a worthy cause and know that funds will help children and adults living with disabilities in our community,” he continues.
Each sale contains a mix of products ranging from clothes, jewelry, purses, accessories, shoes, books, healthy snacks, baked goods, candies and more.
In total, donated proceeds from these sales have amounted to over $325,000 for deserving charities!
March of Dimes Canada gratefully acknowledges the contribution of Bentall Kennedy staff, including organizer Robert Fox, and the vendors who donate a portion of their sales. You are truly making a difference!
