Three-year-old Madison Ambos lives with cerebral palsy, and an operation not available in Ontario could help her walk independently. Her family has been fundraising to pay for the procedure and rehabilitation, because they weren't sure OHIP would cover it.
Madison Ambos' family recently received word that they were approved for OHIP funding for Madison's surgery, which will take place in St Louis.
You'd recognize Madison as one our many beloved Conductive Education participants. Along with her mother Katherine, they have both been featured in many of our promotional materials and we're really lucky to have them on-board as familiar faces with March of Dimes Canada - so we are thrilled to hear of their great news! You can follow the family's updates on their personal blog https://madimoves.com/
Check out the behind-the-scene snap we took of Katherine's interview with @cbctoronto & Toronto Sun about their great news from within our Conductive Education classroom.
Madi's operation is scheduled for this spring, and we wish her all the best. Good luck, Madi - here's to an exciting new chapter in your life!
