March of Dimes Canada (MODC) is pleased to announce that it has acquired InFocus Rehabilitation Services Ltd., in British Columbia, effective April 18, 2017. The alignment of core service offerings to clients requiring Employment or Acquired Brain Injury Services fits well with MODC’s vision and values, providing many services to meet the needs of people with disabilities that they might achieve the highest possible level of independence.
InFocus Rehabilitation Services
was founded in 2008, primarily to serve the needs of individuals recovering from traumatic brain injury and other similar debilitating injuries. InFocus grew into a company of 25 staff members offering a range of services in Victoria, British Columbia. InFocus business operations and lines of business will continue unaffected as a result of this acquisition and the name of InFocus Rehabilitation Services will remain unchanged, as a division of March of Dimes Canada.
March of Dimes Canada is a leading community based rehabilitation organization serving over 75,000 people with disabilities annually. Employment Services is a major program division providing everything from assessment to training and placement, primarily funded under various government contracts. MODC’s Acquired Brain Injury services include specialized communication accommodations, support care services, social and recreational programs.
For over 65 years, MODC has developed innovative programs to meet the needs of people with disabilities, operated mainly in Ontario. Since 2006, MODC has been expanding its offerings across Canada. This acquisition, is the first outside of Ontario, and provides a unique opportunity to expand and work with an excellent, established team of rehab experts. The current owners, Beverly and Leonard Regan will remain a part of the team, as consultants.
