March of Dimes Canada has partnered with Government of Ontario to develop free accessible employment training resources.
March of Dimes Canada's Training Institute has developed an "Accessibility Awareness Toolkit: Increasing Accessible Employment in the Information and Communications Technology Sector" that will help employers in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector create more accessible and inclusive workplaces.
Supported by the Government of Ontario, this toolkit covers all aspects of the employment process, from recruitment to retention, accommodation, and career development. You can access it for free by clicking here.
Attend Free In-Person Training Workshops
To explore inclusion and accessibility in more depth, you can also attend free in-person training facilitated by March of Dimes Canada. A series of free workshops will provide practical solutions for including people with disabilities in the ICT sector. Participants will walk away with better management practices and ideas that can be implemented immediately.
The next two workshops are scheduled for January 21, 2019 in Kitchener, Ontario and January 28, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario.
