The Opportunity:
The Marketing Advisory Group exists to champion authentic, inclusive storytelling and co-creation across all March of Dimes Canada (MODC) marketing, brand, and communications initiatives. The Advisory will help ensure that people with disabilities are represented not merely as subjects of MODC’s work, but as experts, collaborators, and storytellers who shape how the organization engages with the public.
The group supports MODC’s commitment to accessibility, representation, and lived-experience leadership skills, embedding these principles in campaign design, creative validation, and content development.
An honorarium is available for individuals who participate in this volunteer role.
Participate in quarterly meetings and additional ad hoc sessions as required.
Contribute to the evaluation of marketing impact through a lived-experience lens.
Flag potential accessibility, representation, or cultural sensitivity issues in materials or campaigns.
Identify opportunities to amplify first-person perspectives and lived experiences in MODC’s marketing.
Review and provide input on creative concepts, campaign messaging, and visual storytelling.
Respect confidentiality and represent the values of inclusion, empathy, and collaboration.
Time Commitment: 2 Year Term

Qualities We’re Looking For:
Identifies as a person with a disability
18 years of age and older
Has demonstrated interest in MODC’s purpose, vision and mission
Is committed to the values of diversity and inclusion
Access to a computer and a reliable internet connection
Physical Considerations
The role may involve prolonged computer use, including sitting for extended periods and performing tasks such as typing, viewing a screen, and using standard office software. Access to a computer and a reliable internet connection.
