For immediate release:
March of Dimes Canada is excited to welcome Leonard Baker as its new President and CEO.
Len brings 25 years of senior management and executive experience in the disability and non-governmental organization sectors, most recently at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. This includes a background in capacity building, strategic partnerships, government relations, and innovation.
‘I’m so pleased to be joining March of Dimes Canada during this period of growth,’ Len says. ‘Much of my professional life has revolved around disability issues, and breaking down barriers, so this is a natural fit.’
Len has worked with people and organizations across Canada, which positions him well to carry on with March of Dimes Canada’s national expansion plans.
‘I understand how far Canada has come in terms of accessibility and inclusion,’ Len continues. ‘And I understand that there’s work still to do. I’m glad to be a part of it.’
Len took over as March of Dimes Canada’s President and CEO on October 29, 2018.
‘My predecessor, Andria Spindel, has taken the organization far, and I look forward to seeing how much farther we can go,’ he adds.
