Toronto – March of Dimes Canada (MODC) is proud to announce that applications are now open for the pivotal role of Chief Accessibility Officer (CAO).
We are seeking a leader who can guide us toward a barrier-free society for all. MODC strongly believes that the CAO should have living experience of disability and that their values and attributes should reflect the diverse communities we serve. The CAO will play a critical role in shaping our future and strengthening relationships with disability communities, partners, funders, governments, and other stakeholders.
“Accessibility must be a driving force behind every decision we make,” said Len Baker, MODC’s President and CEO. “This role will ensure we remain vigilant, up to date, and dedicated on all matters related to disability inclusion, while placing the experiences of people with disabilities at the centre of our work.”
This executive position will serve as a cornerstone in MODC’s mission to become a national leader in accessibility and disability inclusion. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the CAO will join our Executive Leadership Team, reinforcing and expanding our commitment to people with disabilities across Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion accessibility and inclusion across all organizational strategies and operations.
- Advise on inclusive design, representation, and policy development.
- Lead internal and external accessibility initiatives.
- Build partnerships with disability communities and advocacy groups.
- Ensure MODC’s programs and services reflect the living experiences of people with disabilities.
- Support cultural change within MODC to embed accessibility and inclusion as highly-present organizational values.
